Oil is the motor of the world economy. Utilization of this most precious resource has its consequences: extraction, transportation and consumption of oil have detrimental effects on people and the environment. Everywhere oil is produced, processed or treated, oil sludge and residuals are left behind. Flottweg Decanters, Tricanters®, disc stack centrifuges and systems offer environmentally-friendly solutions for slop-oil treatment and oil recovery from lagoons.

Oil residuals, including sludge from lagoons, sedimentation ponds, or storage tanks are processed using Flottweg Decanters, Tricanters® and disc stack centrifuges. They separate water and solids from the oil. The solid waste separated consists of only 10% of the original volume. The recovered oil can be used for incineration purposes or as raw material in petrochemical processes. If the oil has to be particularly pure, Flottweg disc stack centrifuges are the most suitable solution for subsequent cleaning.
