July 2008 - The Chief Executive Officer of Flottweg,
Peter Bruckmayer, and the Financial Director Joachim Weiershaus have retired from day-to-day operations and become members of Flottweg AG’s (incorporated company) Supervisory Board. Fritz Colesan, President, Knut Pantel, Executive Vice President – Finance and Administration, Georg Schwinghammer, Executive Vice President – Manufacturing and Production and Manfred Schlarb, Executive Vice President – Engineering and Technology, form the new management of Flottweg AG and will direct the company in future. The new directors have all been executive managers at Flottweg for a long time and have been accurately prepared for their new job.


June 2008 -
Due to Flottweg’s continuous growth, its branch office in Poland had to move into a larger office. The newly furnished rooms are situated in the north-west of Warsaw, are characterized by an excellent infrastructure and offer sufficient room for further employees.

2008 - With more than 1000 business partners and employees from all over the world, Flottweg celebrated its 75-year anniversary on Saturday, May 3, 2008. In the city hall of Vilsbiburg, there was a great party with solemn speeches, funny presentations, a huge buffet and a glittering fireworks.

April 2008 -
The development of the prototype of a new centrifuge series is accomplished: The new modern high performance decanter C3E for capacities up to 20 m3/h is designed to meet individual requirements when thickening and dewatering municipal waste water sludge.

February 2008 - The company Linde KCA, Dresden, has placed an order with Flottweg for a system to recover wheat starch and wheat gluten.

January 2008 -
On January, 1, 2008, Flottweg Separation Technology Inc., a 100% subsidiary of Flottweg AG, Vilsbiburg, Germany started its business in Kentucky.
The inauguration ceremony took place on January, 18, 2008 together with representatives of the local authorities as well as the board of directors and the employees of the company. Flottweg Separation Technology Inc. was already founded in 2007, the offices and the workshop were completed at the end of 2007. The new company will be responsible for sales and service for Flottweg products in North America.


November 2007 -
Flottweg Vilsbiburg and Flottweg Veronesi have been recertified to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

October 2007 -
Flottweg has received an order about several large decanters for vitamin production

September 2007 -
A very important European fish processing center places to Flottweg an order about four decanters for krill processing.

August 2007 - One of the most important oil companies of the world places a follow-up order to Flottweg about a complete system for oil sludge treatment.

July 2007 - Flottweg was awarded for the delivery of decanters and disc stack centrifuges, among those newly developed disk stack centrifuges which comply with the ATEX Regulations for Zone 1 (highest protection class) for several biodiesel facilities in the USA and in Europe.

From now on, Flottweg is a shareholders’ company operating under the name “Flottweg AG”. However, the shares are not listed on the stock-exchange.


June 2007 -
The three additional machines for the production of our centrifuges have arrived and two of them are already operating.

May 2007 - Flottweg has received orders for several decanters and Sorticanters® for a huge plastic recycling plant in Thuringia.

April 2007 - In the headquarters in Vilsbiburg, the production facilities have been extended. Construction works have been completed and the move-in has started.

March 2007 -
Again in China, this time for a fruit juice plant, FLOTTWEG managed a major project of several million euros.

February 2007 - This month FLOTTWEG has accomplished several important major projects for sewage plants in China.

January 2007 - The development for disc stack centrifuges which comply with the ATEX Guidelines for Zone 1 (highest protection class) was accomplished. So Flottweg disc stack centrifuges now are available for the installation in explosion hazardous areas.

December 2006 - The first big order for a Polish sewage plant could be booked.

November 2006 - Construction for the expansion of production is in full swing. In October, the Flottweg staff celebrated the topping-out. Within the following months new facilities are erected for the final inspection of centrifuges, rotor balancing, storage, receiving and testing. Sufficient space is provided for the repair department as well as spacious staff rooms for our employees. The new building will result in shorter transport distances and more efficiency. Moving in at the 1,600 sqm site is planned for March 2007.

October 2006 - Once again, Flottweg GmbH & Co. KGaA successfully passed the DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 re-certification for the next three years. Auditors from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) stated that high level quality standards existed throughout the entire company.

September 2006 - Flottweg expanded its apprenticeship workshop by 50% and equipped it with additional machinery and tools. This year 14 new trainees - instead of normally 9 - have been employed, bringing Flottweg's total number of industrial trainees to 36 persons.

August 2006 - Ten more machines were delivered to the sewage treatment plant in St. Petersburg, Russia, which is currently the largest environmental project in Europe totaling 31 Flottweg decanters.

July 2006 - Due to the continuing high order volume, construction began to create an additional 1600 m² of production area.
