Flottweg Brings New FW400 Decanter to WEFTEC 2026
INDEPENDENCE, KY — As wastewater treatment facilities face increasing pressure to reduce operating costs, improve sustainability, and maximize process efficiency, Flottweg Separation Technology will showcase its newest innovation—the FW400 Decanter—at WEFTEC 2026, September 26–30, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
Visitors to Booth #6639 will have the opportunity to see how Flottweg's next-generation decanter platform is helping operators improve sludge dewatering performance while reducing energy consumption and simplifying maintenance

Experience the New FW400 Decanter
Featured at WEFTEC will be the new FW400 decanter, engineered to deliver higher separation performance, greater process flexibility and simplified operation for today's wastewater treatment facilities. Built on decades of Flottweg engineering expertise, the FW400 combines increased bowl speed, optimized geometry and greater torque capabilities to achieve higher throughput while maintaining excellent separation efficiency. A super-deep pond design enhances clarification while reducing overall energy consumption, allowing facilities to process more sludge with greater efficiency.
Unlike conventional decanter centrifuges, the FW400 is built around three key design principles:
- Performance Boost
- Flex Concept
- Human-Centered Design
These features provide operators with a platform that can adapt to changing process requirements while simplifying everyday operation and maintenance.
"Wastewater operators today face increasing pressure to improve efficiency while controlling operating costs and maintaining reliable process performance," said Daniel Lakovic, Business Development Manager for Flottweg Separation Technology. "The FW400 was developed to address those challenges by combining higher separation performance with a flexible platform that can evolve alongside our customers' operations."
Beyond improved separation performance, the FW400 incorporates numerous operator-focused enhancements that reduce downtime and simplify maintenance. Features including an enhanced housing seal, foldable belt guard for easier service access, low-noise operation and an optimized cleaning concept help wastewater facilities improve reliability while reducing maintenance time. Its modular Flex Concept also allows customers to configure the decanter for current operating requirements while providing the flexibility to upgrade as future process demands evolve.
Flottweg’s Commitment to Customer Service
