Pretty Smart! Flottweg supports Students
Once again in March and June, the coveted German scholarships were awarded to students of the Deggendorf University of Technology and the Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences. In the context of the job fair "First Contact", the selected students met with their sponsors on 26.03. in the Deggendorf Municipal Hall. One of these sponsors is the company Flottweg from Vilsbiburg, which this year again offers students the coveted scholarship. The coveted scholarships were awarded in Weihenstephan on June 13.
Flottweg has been a supporter of the German scholarship for several years. In total, the Vilsbiburg-based company awarded scholarships to four students from the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences and to one student from the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences. With the Germany Scholarship, sponsors agree to support students with 150 euros a month. The federal government increases this sum by a further 150 euros.
"The scholarship enables me to establish direct contact with exciting companies. And in addition, I gain additional insights into the working methods of the companies," explains Jonas Maidl during the award ceremony.
Maidl studies mechanical engineering at the Technical University Deggendorf. "After my Bachelor, I'd like to continue to add the Master degree. Flottweg is certainly an interesting option when I am finished," the student continues.
Jonas Maidl expressed a great excitement with regard to the joint meeting of all scholarship holders at Flottweg in August. Here the young students get a look behind the scenes at Flottweg as well as the opportunity to make new connections.
