Dedication to sustainability confirmed: Flottweg receives the Silver Medal from EcoVadis once again
Flottweg SE has again been awarded with the Silver Medal by EcoVadis, one of the world’s leading providers of sustainability assessments. This means that the company once again finds its place among the top 15 percent of companies assessed worldwide, highlighting its consistent focus on responsible and sustainable business practices.
EcoVadis enables international comparability between certified companies on the basis of clearly-defined assessment criteria. Since its inception in 2007, the company has analyzed more than 150,000 companies worldwide in over 175 countries and 200 industries. The assessment is based on recognized global standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the UN Global Compact. It covers four key areas: the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
“Receiving the Silver Medal again is confirmation of the dedication of our teams worldwide,” explains Dr. Kersten Christoph Link, CEO of Flottweg SE. “Our machinery makes a positive contribution to the environment and society in a wide range of applications. At the same time, this assessment shows our customers that we aren’t just technologically advanced, but that we also operate responsibly and with the future in mind.”

Sustainability as part of the corporate culture
Earning 76 of a possible 100 points, Flottweg’s sustainability efforts in recent years have been outstanding. As a manufacturer of innovative separation solutions, Flottweg not only attributes considerable importance to the quality and efficiency of its products, but also to its responsibility for the environment and society.
Jakob Forster, Sustainability Manager at Flottweg, also views the very positive results of the assessment to constitute an important part of the company’s alignment: “In comparison with last year, we were able to slightly improve on our overall score. This motivates us to continue along this path. We consider the EcoVadis rating to be part of a holistic sustainability strategy that we will continue to develop and implement for the Flottweg Group over the months and years to come.”
“My thanks go to all my colleagues who have supported this effort,” adds Forster. “The EcoVadis rating makes it clear that everyone is pulling in the same direction and that sustainability, whether it’s at the ecological or social levels, is already an important part of our corporate culture.”
